About Me

Introducing Rachael Hood

I have always been interested in health, sports and horses. I completed my Level 3 training in personal training over 12 years ago and decided at this point my main interest was rehabilitation. I then went on to complete my undergraduate degree in physiotherapy at the UEA.

As a child I was always horse riding and helping at yards. As an adult I continued this passion and my daughter soon followed. Now we both have our own horse and pony.

Many of my physiotherapy clients were horse riders and, after working in local pony clubs to help children’s understanding of posture and balance on and off horses, I went on to complete my post graduate diploma in veterinary physiotherapy at Hartpury University, to provide me a clearer understanding of horses’ movements with the goal to improve riders performance.

This has allowed me to have a balance of assessing and treating both human and equine clients to help manage medical conditions, improve equine welfare and enhance rider performance.

GP and Vet Referrals

Whilst I am more than happy to book private physiotherapy appointments for both horses and people, I am also able to treat patients via referral from their GP or vet.

Please get in touch for more information on any of the services I offer.
